The pelvic floor: The power of the middle!
Duration: 1h 10 minutes
Level: suitable for all training levels, from absolute beginner to Pilates professional
The pelvic floor is an important part of the body that is often underestimated. Yet a functional and healthy pelvic floor musculature is crucial for good posture, a healthy sense of well-being, good organ function, a fulfilled sexuality, a positive emotional life and a positive charisma.
Weak pelvic floor muscles, on the other hand, can lead to incontinence, organ prolapse, back pain, postural problems and even sexual dysfunction.
In this live lesson Maria will show you:
- Why the connection between perineum and vertex has an important influence on the pelvic floor muscles.
- How to integrate this connection into everyday life and the important role that the Pilates principles of breathing, control, concentration, precision and flow of movement play for the pelvic floor muscles and...
- how to maintain or even improve the strength and stability of the pelvic floor.
Because the most important thing about this topic is:
Prevention is better than cure.
In short, taking care of your pelvic floor through Pilates is a must for a healthy and fulfilling life.
